WORK-BASED LEARNING
Our work-based learning program, in collaboration with Rochester City School District, provides urban youth with workable learning experiences and job readiness training. This gives them the opportunity to develop life skills, explore different career paths through on-the-job training, and prepare for post-secondary education. It also creates experiences to help students with physical and learning disabilities develop transferable skills to the workplace. Community partnerships like this assist schools and families by offering meaningful, culturally responsive opportunities that actively support youth learning development. This program is sponsored by ESL Community Impact Equity Grant and ARPA Peace Collective, made possible by the City of Rochester.
